Pregestimil Milk

Dietary food intended for special medical purposes. Pregestimil is a "hypoallergenic" formula because it has also been developed so as not to cause allergic reactions in the majority of children allergic to cow's milk proteins. In Pregestimil, the proteins are provided in the form of a cow's milk protein, casein, which has been cut into tiny fragments so as not to be identified as dangerous by the immune system of children allergic to cow's milk proteins (on calls it a high protein (casein) hydrolyzate). Pregestimil is suitable for children with malabsorption/maldigestion who are additionally allergic to cow's milk protein. Pregestimil contains a high proportion of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) in its lipid profile, which are easily absorbed. Pregestimil is a lactose-free formula.
