Nutrof Total is a dietary supplement containing antioxidant vitamins and trace elements, lutein, zeaxanthin, omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and an extract of Vitis vinifera (resveratrol). Properties Antioxidants: Vitamin E, zinc, copper, and vitamin C help protect cells against oxidative stress: Vitamin E is present in vegetable oils. Vitamin C is present in different fruits and vegetables. Zinc, present in meat and fish, contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. Copper is present in organ meats, shellfish and dried fruits. Lutein and zeaxanthin: Lutein and zeaxanthin are two yellow pigments found in significant amounts in certain green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli or lettuce. Omega 3 essential fatty acids (DHA, EPA and DPA): Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) are three polyunsaturated fatty acids belonging to the omega 3 family. Omega 3 are essential fatty acids. They must be provided by food or by supplementation when the diet is insufficient or unbalanced. Omega 3s are present in abundance in the flesh of fatty fish such as tuna, salmon, herring. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The beneficial effect is obtained by the daily consumption of 250 mg of DHA. Dry extract of Vitis vinifera (resveratrol): Grapes are rich in phenolic compounds, including resveratrol, present in certain fruits (especially oilseeds) and in wine.
