Arterin® Red Yeast Rice contains vitamin B1, which contributes to normal heart function, and Monacoline K from red yeast rice, a naturally occurring ingredient. Red yeast rice comes from the cultivation of a microscopic fungus, Monascus purpureus, on rice. This micro-organism produces a characteristic red pigment which gave yeast its name.
