Forlib is a medical device indicated for the symptomatic treatment of occasional constipation in adults and children from 8 years old. The main component of Forlib is macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative, also known as polyethylene glycol (PEG). Macrogol 4000 retains water in the faeces. It softens hard stools and increases their volume. This leads to accelerating intestinal transit and making evacuation easier, providing a feeling of natural relief. Macrogol 4000 is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.
