Lero charcoal contains vegetable charcoal for a phenazone index of 20% minimum. The phenazone index, recognized by the European Pharmacopoeia, determines the adsorption power of activated carbon. A phenazone index of 20% means that for 100 mg of activated carbon, 20 mg of gas or impurities are adsorbed.
