It makes stools softer and easier to pass by drawing water into the intestine. It is not absorbed into your body. LACTULOSE MYLAN PHARMA is used to treat constipation (infrequent, hard and dry stools) by making the stools soft. LACTULOSE MYLAN PHARMA is used in the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy (liver disease causing difficulty in thinking, confusion, tremors, reduced level of consciousness up to coma). You should contact your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel less well after several days.
