Warnings: - The use of this medication is not recommended in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome (rare hereditary diseases). - This medicine contains sucrose. Its use is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase / isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases). - It is recommended not to open the capsule in the environment of patients with a central venous catheter, to avoid any colonization, in particular by hand (brought by the hands), of the catheter. Indeed, it has been reported in patients with a central venous catheter, even not treated with S. boulardii, very rare cases of fungemia (passage of yeast in the blood) most often resulting in fever and Saccharomyces positive blood cultures. - Concerning children over 6 years old and adults, you must quickly consult your doctor in the following cases: - in the absence of improvement after 2 days of treatment, - in case of onset of fever, vomiting, - if there is blood or mucus in the stool, - in case of intense thirst, feeling of dry tongue. Indeed, these signs show the onset of dehydration, that is to say a significant loss of fluid due to diarrhea. Your doctor will then judge the need to prescribe rehydration, which can be done orally or intravenously. Precautions for use: In children over 6 years old and in adults, this treatment is a complement to dietary rules: - rehydrate with abundant drinks, salty or sweet, to compensate for fluid loss due to diarrhea (the average daily water intake is 2 litres); - eat during diarrhea, - by excluding certain intakes and particularly raw vegetables, fruits, green vegetables, spicy dishes, as well as frozen foods or drinks, - favoring grilled meats, rice.
