In the event of non-compliance with the recommended dosage and/or mode of administration, the passage of minoxidil into the general circulation could be increased and lead to adverse effects such as chest pain, drop in blood pressure, tachycardia (acceleration of the rhythm heart), dizziness or lightheadedness, sudden unexplained weight gain, swelling of the hands and feet. In case of accidental contact with the eye, a wound, a mucous membrane, the solution (containing ethanol) may cause a burning sensation and irritation: rinse thoroughly with running water.
